Roch,
I reread that and that part is a lil extreme. I am not going to change it because that was my original note and I want it to stand but I do see your point.
Thanks for not only reading it but commenting. I would like to think I am open to other point of views…. I am just sharing my own.

Yeah, well I didn’t mean to diminish your opinion, and this isn’t directed at you specifically but, generally, I have a hard time understanding how people can fashion opinions about homosexuals based on parts of the Bible when those same parts also condemn a variety of other things that people have no problem accepting as part of modern life. It just seems like cherry picking to me.
Roch,
That is my point exactly. We must stop doing that. We need to show love to all regardless of what they do. Jesus didn’t commend, he may had rebuked or corrected but always showed love.

Reading your blog, I’m impressed by your ability to develop a position on something you cannot possibly relate to (being a heterosexual and all). It shows your curiousity and ability to think outside the box. It’s a good topic of discussion too in the sense that it discusses something that we all can relate to: not wanting to feel different. Whether its not having the freshest gear on the first day of school or wondering if your nose is too big. Every wants to fit in and readers should keep that in mind when reading the aforementioned.
Now, while I appreciated the work, I am still struggling to digest the condescending tone that whispers “come on let us join together and love the gay out of these people.” Also, one of your lines implies that if one is homosexual he can’t be a man.
So, I’m inclined to question you: Is that an opinon of yours? If so, what is your reasoning for feeling that way? I would hope not because the Bible teaches us to let he that is without sin cast the first stone.” (John 8:7 - King James Version). Wouldn’t that mean God doesn’t approve of those that pass judgement? You know, since we are going to the Bible to back our injustices and then avoiding it when it illustrates our flaws. (Just like any other group of people who want to feel superior.) I just shiver at the thought of even thinking that a bright man like yourself could be possibly seem a bit hypocrital or unconciously imply having a moral advantage over another group because of sexual prefence.
But…In all, I appreciate your ability to recognize the shortcomings of the greater majority as well. I just wish it were a littel more balanced. Like Roch, I think we should abandon the double standard.
To your point about love, I agree. I wish that we were all about to love the way God loves; Love the spirit of a man and not his flesh. After all when God see us, the view is from the inside out.
Your friend,
Me
THIS HAS BEEN THE MOST EDUCATED OUTLOOK ON HOMOSEXUALITY AS IT RELATES TO CHRISTIANITY THAT I HAVE SEEN IN A LONG TIME. IT SHOWS THAT YOU ARE ACTUALLY A MAN OF GOD, AND NOT JUST A CHURCH GOER. GOD DOESN’T HATE THE SINNER JUST THE SIN, AND ALL SIN IS A REPROACH TO GOD, NEITHER IS ANY SIN GREATER OR LESSER THAN ANY OTHER.

“Would you put a man that beats his wife up in a leadership position?”
What about a man (or woman) who eats cheeseburgers, barbeque or shrimp, or who wears poly-cotton blends?
