After over an hour, I found the artist website but this full video is not out anywhere (to my knowledge). I emailed the creator on every email I could find asking him to let it be published in full…I will update…
This is such a powerful video…

LOL, I know I need to stop commenting on my own blog/post but I can’t stop watching this…
Hi Calvin! Thanks for sharing this with me. I don’t get to watch TV that much so I was completely clueless. While that cartoon is meant to depict what took place back in the day with the slave trade..in my mind it is very closely related to the image that is depicted of black women today in various hip/hop and rap videos. To me what makes it worse today is that it’s not a white man that has our sisters on the auction block, its the brothers… But not all people think like that I guess. And some women are just out to make a quick dollar…its sad. I know that as black women we are proud of our bodies…who wouldn’t be lol. But what I have learned is that I can be just as sexy, if not more, without my breasts and booty hangin’ out. Hopefully we will get a handle on this soon because it is brainwashing and polluting the minds of our teens. If we don’t take a stand as a race, as a culture…then we can’t expect anyone else to. Again, thanks bunches for sharing this with me. Be blessed!
Wow! Powerful. You know I’m pro black
So I’m def a fan of this…. This & reading Nada’s comment gives me some ideas. Needless to say, we need to target our youth. We as a people have come a long way, but our society is losing sight of where we’ve come from. Not many youngsters know about the “Black Holocaust”… I’ll get back to you with my ideas. Gotta go map some things out. Be Blassed *Mici
***TYPO***
That’s BE BLESSED! Not Blassed….. lol.
Ok this was so much more than I expected. The exploitation of our African American women is very much so explored in this video. Two thumbs up for posting it Cal.
Neal, I found some time and energy and I am doing it now.

Here is the response to the creator of Bid Em In:
Dear „Bid ŒEm In‰ Supporters,
Thank you all for your interest in Bid Em In. I‚m so happy my film is
having a positive impact and your encouragement is VERY inspiring to me.
Because of the overwhelming response, I have not been able to contact you
all personally but I do have some general comments.
1.„Bid Em In‰ will be on You Tube no later than December. I‚ll keep you
posted.
2.PLEASE go to http://www.cafepress.com/bidemin and order a Bid Em In T-shirt or
cap. This will help me raise funds for my next film dealing with the Jim
Crow era. Also encourage all your friends to visit the site!
3.I‚m pitching more ideas to BET so please go to the BET web site and let
them know if you would like to see more of this kind of programming.
Thanks again and take care,
Neal Sopata
I’m looking for this full video also. BET really needs to geth this clip up on YouTube or something. If anyone finds the video please email me.
Thank you
By the way, it’s nice to see that other people appreciated this clip. I saw it right after the show We Got to Do Better. I really like this type of programming on BET as long as it’s done the right way.
Nevermind I ust saw the post above mind lol. Either way, love the clip
I posted the full clip of “Bid ‘Em In” on my blog.

I found this on this video:
These short films are, according to the program, all centered on extreme emotions - hate, love, betrayal, and so on. Most of them are excellent and evoke the intended emotion very effectively, but some don’t work quite as well. “Bid ‘em In” is an animation set to an a capella song about a slave auction and it is poignantly beautiful.
