Thank you for an Excellent article. It answered the question I was so possessed with "what does cancer at cellular level means". My urologist recently ordered on me a new experimental urine test - PCA 3 cancer gene test. The results came out +ve with a score of 61.7. The doctor suggested biopsy. I was not convinced because with -ve DRE and PSA under 4, why would I be a candidate for biopsy. I then found out that this test was perfect in detecting prostate cancer at the cellular level. This had me spooked because I did not really know what cancer at cellular level meant. I thought if you have cancer cells, then that's it. It would only be a matter of time before it spreads to surrounding tissues. I did not know everybody has some cancer cells which are or can be destroyed by the immune system Now I understand, cancer at cellular level does not necessarily mean it would develop into detectable level. I wish more people would know and understand this.
